First HL7 standard approved for Pediatric Healthcare

A news release from Healthcare Informatics announced today that the Health Level Seven Organization (HL7) passed the industry's first ANSI-approved standard that contains basic requirements for child healthcare in an EHR. The HL7 standard for pediatric health records will include these basic functionalities: immunizations, growth tracking, medications, and privacy, among others.
